Apalachicola Historical Society: A 501.c(3) non-profit, whose mission is to collect and distribute information of the history of the City of Apalachicola. Members are history enthusiasts who appreciate the culture, lore and heritage of this town’s rich history.
Newbery Medal Books: Named for eighteenth-century British bookseller John Newbery. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.
Caldecott Medal Books: Named in honor of nineteenth-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott, it is awarded annually to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.
